SPELLING BEE BATTLE & BOOK DRIVE

 

City of Curls Mobile Beauty Supply presents- A new exciting competition that provides youth the opportunity to showcase their talents and educational abilities in order for the chance to win a PlayStation 5 or $500 cash!!! Our goal is to spread awareness on the importance of reading in underprivileged communities. 

Research shows that there is an achievement gap in Seattle public schools amongst the youth from these communities, specifically African American boys. City of Curls mission is to create a HEALTHY & WEALTHY community, so we are here for the educational support hoping that it may benefit in the future academic success of the next generations to come!

*Be between the ages of 7-13

*Identify as: African American 

*Live in the Seattle metropolitan area
